BUILDER’S merchant Sovini Trade Supplies (STS) has secured a £44 million supply chain contract to provide a bespoke service to Regenda Group’s maintenance and construction arm.

The contract with M&Y Maintenance & Construction is set to last 10 years and will incorporate what is said will be an innovative approach to technology.

M&Y maintains over 10,000 homes across the North West, owned and managed by its parent company.

STS, which is itself part of the Sovini Group, secured the contract following a successful procurement exercise.

The builders’ merchant, which supplies goods to the UK’s housing sector and beyond will support M&Y’s vision to improve first time fix rates, customer satisfaction and growth; as well as community led initiatives across the North West.

“We are delighted to be appointed as the supplier for North West maintenance and construction firm, M&Y,” said Anita Harrison-Carroll, director of STS. “Mobilistation planning is well underway with teams from across both businesses working in partnership to deliver a high-quality repairs and maintenance service to customers across The Regenda Group.

“Our commitment to supporting our customers’ efficiency savings and driving profits is what helps us stand out from our competitors.

“I am positive that this is the start of a great collaboration which will provide benefits for customers, stakeholders and the local communities we reinvest both of our profits in. We are thrilled to be supporting our new client in supporting their customers.”

Gill Kelly, M&Y’s managing director, added: “We wanted to work with an organisation who understood our sector and would have the knowledge to support us to improve customer service and efficiency.

“It was equally important that we found a building merchant who shared our values. Like us, Sovini Trade Supplies profits go back into improving communities and so we know that our money goes further.”
