A housing association has marked the completion of its first new housing development with an official welcome for tenants.
Prime Group has delivered the 38-home Wheatfield Close development in the Netherley area of Liverpool.
Staff and board members joined representatives from Homes England, Tyson Construction and the new tenants of Wheatfield Close to mark the development’s opening.
“This is the first of many developments that we have planned. We are delighted with the quality and standard of these new homes,” said John Ghader, Prima Group’s chief executive. “It has been a great team effort on this development.”
Wheatfield Close consists of 26 two-bedroom houses and 12 one-bedroom flats. These homes mark the beginning of Prima Group’s commitment to delivering over 300 new homes in the next five years.
Tracy, one of the new residents, has recently moved out of her old flat; she’s certainly impressed with her new home.
“The house is beautiful. The finish is gorgeous and the neighbours we’ve met all seem lovely. We really couldn’t be happier,” she said. “You haven’t just given us a house; you’ve given us a home we can feel proud of.”
