Thirteen, who manage 35,000 homes across the North East, Yorkshires and Humber region, has appointed Esh Construction Ltd, EQUANS Regeneration Ltd and RE:GEN to deliver a range of home improvements over the next five years within the company’s ambitious investment programme.
Following a thorough procurement process, the contractors within the partnering framework will focus on homes and support schemes across a number of priority estates to benefit customers and the wider communities.
Thirteen’s executive director of assets Paul Jenkins said: “This is an exciting opportunity for the contractors to work with us.
“We’ve listened to our involved customers when it comes to investing in their homes, so it was only right that we took them on this journey. Their contribution throughout the procurement process has been invaluable.
“The awarded contractors delivered bids focusing on providing high-quality customer service and creating social value through their work, such as employment opportunities, apprenticeships for local people and community improvements over the project’s lifetime.
“With some exciting large-scale projects planned, the partnership will support the growth of our home investment and decarbonisation plans, which will improve the energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of our homes.
“We’re committed to investing in our customers’ homes. Providing great homes, now and in the future, is our priority, and these contractor appointments will help us to plan resources and availability in an increasingly competitive market.
“It is vital that our partners have values similar to ours and are passionate about building better communities for our customers.”
The contract forms part of Thirteen’s plans to invest over £ 300mn across almost 25,000 homes within 15 local authority areas in the next five years.
