Housing and care provider GreenSquareAccord has announced the appointment of Jo Makinson as chief finance officer with effect from early January 2022.
Jo who is currently director of finance and transformation at St Monica Trust in Bristol, started her career in London working with a social development consultancy. Jo then moved to Bristol in 2006 and spent six years in PwC’s public sector team.
Jo says: “During that time I trained as a chartered accountant and, more excitingly, had the chance to work alongside a broad range of purpose-driven organisations working to make lives better for vulnerable people and communities.
“Over the last 10 years I have held finance director and chief executive roles in the health, housing and charity sectors, inspired by the difference these organisations make.”
Jo is particularly passionate about social housing and is a non-executive on the board at Abri.
Jo added: “I am delighted to be joining GreenSquareAccord at this exciting time in its merger journey, and at a moment when, post-pandemic, a good home, with the right care and support where it’s needed, has never been more important. I can’t wait to get started and am looking forward making sure that we do the very best we can for our customers.”

Jo will join GreenSquareAccord in early January 2022, in the interim, Tom Willis will remain as interim chief finance officer.
