The shortlist for Insider’s Midlands Residential Property Awards has been announced, with Living Space shortlisted for both Housebuilder of the Year and the Social Housing Award.
Having received 77 submissions, Insider revealed the shortlist for the 15 highly contested categories to its entire regional readership. The category winners – as well as a Property Personality of the Year – will be announced at a gala dinner on Thursday 23rd June at Birmingham’s Eastside Rooms.
Living Space has been shortlisted alongside Midland Heart, One Creative Environments, and Platform Housing Group for the Social Housing Award. The shortlist for Housebuilder of the Year comprises Birmingham City Council, Lovell Homes, Miller Homes, Piper Homes, Spitfire Homes, and William Davis Homes – alongside Living Space.
Paul Breen, Managing Director of Living Space said: “Insider’s Midlands Residential Property Awards is a key event for the industry and the whole Living Space team is thrilled to have made the shortlist in two fiercely contested categories. The quality of our developments, our eco credentials, and our ESG strategy has driven our recent growth, which we hope will strike a chord with the judges. I am proud to report the overall value of our development portfolio is now approaching £200million, which equates to 950 affordable houses, apartments and bungalows.
“Congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted for these awards, and we look forward to catching up with everyone at the event next month, when we’ll all find out who’s won!”
Ian Griffin, Deputy Editor for Insider said: “The record participation highlighted the robustness of the sector in the region at a time of economic uncertainty. The Midlands has a huge shortage of housing, and these entries show that the property sector is working in a determined and innovative way to serve the market need.”
The vast majority of the homes Living Space builds are delivered to RPs for affordable rent and shared ownership. Living Space sources the land, achieves Full Detailed Planning consent and builds the homes for the RP, enabling them to focus on the funding and management of high-quality homes for their residents.
