Russell Hobbs spreads positivi-tea

Community organisations across the North West have been the recipients of over 100 home and electrical products, donated by Russell Hobbs.

Community organisations across the North West have been the grateful recipients of over 100 home and electrical products, donated by one of the UK’s most recognisable and leading household brands, Russell Hobbs, in the company’s bid to spread ‘Positivi-Tea’ through communities.

These donations, which totalled over £5,500, were a key part of the Positivi-Tea campaign, which has seen Russell Hobbs join forces with iconic British brand PG tips, to spread positivity across the nation with a series of gifting and community donations.

Through the Positivi-Tea campaign, Russell Hobbs donated to charities in the North West, including homeless shelters, women’s aid, and community kitchens. As a result, these charities were able to provide brand new, high-quality equipment including toasters, kettles, microwaves, coffee machines and slow cookers for those in need.

Cira Jones, UK Brand Manager at Russell Hobbs said: “The Positivi-tea campaign is about showing appreciation for the amazing work and initiatives people have undertaken, especially because of the adversity many people have faced over the past 18-months to two-years. To celebrate the work done by organisations in their respective communities over the past year, we aimed to give something back to those who have worked so tirelessly and selflessly, by gifting products which we knew would be of great use to these organisations. It’s great to know that these products will help people get back on their feet and bring even a little bit of joy to the community that surrounds us.”

Tom Herstell, Operations Manager at SPIN Manchester (Supporting People In Need), commented: “I would just like to say a massive thank you from all of the staff at SPIN for the kind donation of coffee makers, kettles & toasters. Not only are we using them to benefit the residents that are staying with us but we are providing them with a starter pack when they move out which includes the kettle, toaster & coffee maker to get them started in their new permanent accommodation. These kind gestures have such a huge impact on our residents as they don’t have the added pressure of having to think about buying items as soon as they move out.

“It makes the process so much easier for them when they leave us already having that security of essential items provided for them, so we thank you and your team for helping us provide this for them.”
