A builders’ merchant owned by a North West housing association has joined the likes of Jewson and Travis Perkins on a specialist materials framework.
Sovini Trade Supplies (STS), part of the Sovini Group, has been appointed to a place on the Cirrus Consortium Materials Framework. It means the company now has the flexibility of working with members under fully compliant public procurement legislation.
Cirrus works throughout the UK, supporting the social housing sector as well as local authorities, NHS Trusts, schools, universities, and registered charities.
Through the framework, STS will support consortium members as a supplier, offering building and repairs and maintenance material. It will also offer a managed stores service.
“We are delighted to join The Cirrus Consortium Materials Framework,” said Alan Evans, STS’s regional operations manager. “We already work in collaboration with current members of the consortium and are we looking forward to growing our client base, supporting more members and providing value for money. We are an experienced and proven supplier who already work closely with the social housing sector.”
Cirrus Purchasing, a specialist procurement consultancy based in North West England manages the framework on behalf of the consortium.
Claire Paton, Cirrus Purchasing’s director of consultancy, said: “We are excited to have Sovini Trade Supplies on board as a new supplier to the Cirrus Consortium Materials Framework. We would like to welcome all new suppliers to the framework; we look forward to working with you.”
