Thirteen gets started on new homes for Middlesbrough’s Boho digital business quarter

HOUSING provider Thirteen and its partners have started work on the Boho Zone North scheme in Middlesbrough.

The development, on land south of Gosford Street, is being delivered by Thirteen together with Middlesbrough Council and ESH Construction, with funding support from Homes England. Situated in the town’s Middlehaven regeneration area, the development includes 40 apartments.

The scheme is situated near to the Boho Zone, the town’s digital, creative and business hub. The quarter is home to businesses ranging from start-ups through to multi-million-pound turnover companies.

“We’re thrilled that work has started on these fantastic new apartments, which will provide modern, flexible accommodation for people to work or study from home,” said Chris Smith, Thirteen’s executive director of service delivery and development.

“The development will create affordable, contemporary apartments where Boho Zone North residents can significantly reduce bills and their carbon footprint.

“It’s a great scheme and the feedback we’ve had already has been incredibly positive and we believe the development will add to the Boho Zone’s growing national reputation.”
